Some quick thoughts on cultural difference...

Why do the Americans generally like to be ontime?  The French, on the other hand, or the Latin culturals, in general, think nothing of being late.

Why do the French cashiers talk and carry on to their customers when the lines are getting longer and longer at the check-out?  Mon Dieu!

Why do the French, or the European countries understand that it is a moral issue to provide healthcare to everyone but Americans don't?

How can French people sit in the metro and RER with the heat turned up, bundled up in their coats and scarves and not sweat!?

And speaking of scarves...do they have a "gene" that allows them to wear a scarf like no others?  They are fabulous, artistic, natural!

  1. It is that scarf thing that I've also noted. If only they would send out manuals, videos - well any form of training to the rest of us. In North America, we are particularly challenged scarf wise (although the "out east" Canadians seem to get it more than those of us in the west). Great blog. Keep up the good work!

  2. Hey,
Good luck for your trips, your life seems very exciting and I envy you for being able to live in so many places...
However, just as a note, you're making a punctuation mistake in french : before a double punctuation sign like ! ? ; : you need to always add a space.
    Keep enjoying life!
